Gold 0204 Trading Journal

Short
kjwlegend Updated
TVC:GOLD   CFDs on Gold (US$ / OZ)
Instead of calling Gold analysis, I would use the term of trading journal to record my trades because I may not always have a plan to trade.
I was so adicated to trade even sometimes when plan are not available, and in return, it costs me 200k USD to learn the fact, that not everyday we have opportunity to trade.

So please note: This is a personal journal only, but NOT a trading suggestion.

===================Analysis=================

Yeserday, Gold remains in the channel but didn't rise as my expectation to 1848 but only 1842 area and bull power vanished. I didn't have good chance to enter short.

Today, before the news, Gold finally breaks out the channel and my 1832 buy hit SL.
I didn't expect this happen so soon also, but anyway it did.

Between 1830 - 1805, there's not much buy support in this range so the direction becomes clear.

There's a high chance the gold tests the previous supoort zone 1830 again, which is not the resistence.

The intra-day trend: Bearish > Bulls.

Based on the assumption that:

=================Possible Situation==========

No.1 Gold test 1830 and drops again.
No.2 Gold continue falling without rebounce
No.3 Gold resume bullish power. (Only could happen with a strong green candle. Only big news could make it happen)

==================My Trading Plan=================

Based on these situation:

The support: 1815 1805
The resistence: 1830

sell limit: 1828-1831 , SL 1835 , TP 1805
Comment:
I had a big mistake that I was expecting some big liquity during the FMOC news section and assume no major up or down would happen before that.

The reality is, everything could happen. I should not have those kind of bias in my judgement which could make me lose many opportunity
