USD Overview (19 August 2020)

Yesterday, USD weakened against all major currencies.

The U.S. housing data released yesterday indicated an increase in the number of approved housing and an increase in the number of houses that started construction.

• Building Permits (Actual: 1.50M, Forecast: 1.33M, Previous: 1.26M revised from 1.24M)
  
• Housing Starts (Actual: 1.50M, Forecast: 1.23M, Previous: 1.22M revised from 1.19M)
  

The Federal Reserve will be releasing the minutes for the previous monetary policy meeting tomorrow at 0200 (SGT).
