TradingView Desktop reaches stable

Dec 16, 2021

We launched TradingView Desktop a year ago, on December 15, 2020. Since then, the app has gone through 15 beta releases, covered Linux in addition to Windows and macOS… and finally, we have reached our most important milestone yet — the first stable release. So before going any further and talking about our new feature, we’d like to start off this blog post with a big THANK YOU to all you guys. To all those who have used TradingView Desktop and shared feedback, who have helped us find out issues and get rid of them, and who have contributed towards making our app better and better with every release. We absolutely appreciate that, and we’re so grateful. So give yourselves a round of applause!

Having reached this point, we’re not going to stop our app from growing and developing. We have tons of ideas, features, and improvements on our backlog, and we’re sure that you guys will give us lots more—your feedback is always welcome. Stay tuned!

And now, say hello to the newest feature we’ve built for you. TradingView Desktop now provides Tab Linking by symbol. Once you link a few tabs, they will show up with the same symbol if you change the symbol in any of them. See how it works in the video below.

If TradingView Desktop is already installed on your computer, it will update automatically. Just start or restart it, let it run for 10 minutes and restart again. To make sure the app has been updated, open “About” and look at the version number — it should be 1.0.0. Didn’t get the app yet? Then download it from this page.
