Wicks on Renko charts are now available

Aug 5, 2017

Good news for those who like Renko charts! This is a very useful feature for those who use these charts extensively. You can now see wicks on Renko charts.

What do Renko wicks mean?

The wick shows the price movement relative to the previous box. Once the bar is formed the price can move up or down without changing enough to form a new box. That price movement is what the wick shows.

The wicks are enabled by default on Renko charts. You can adjust the wick color & enable/disable by opening the “Properties” dialog.

Please note that Renko boxes along with their wicks are built based on the closing prices of original price bars. Renko boxes use the price bars as a data source.
