China is in a catch 22 position now - on one hand , the government is pumping in money to support the High Tech industries like Ecommerce, automation, Electric Vehicles, RFID, Robotics, AI, etc and on the other hand, they know that they are faced with an aging population. The latter will hit its supply chain hard as more people are expected to support the older workers down the road and with rising wages, its competitiveness as the world factory may be harder to maintain.
No wonder you see Electric bus on the roads in Shenzhen, self delivered machines on the road , etc to replace the extensive human labour. Health remains the top 3 concerns for the seniors in China and I have always regarded Healthcare portfolio as a good diversification strategy and line of defense.
just wondering, any thoughts or research about the risk of government regulation to keep prices affordable and how that might impact the company?
