Apple: Tight Pullback After a ‘Golden Cross’

NASDAQ:AAPL   Apple Inc
Apple clawed to a six-month high last week. Is it done or will prices continue higher?

The first pattern on today’s chart is the price level around $156. AAPL peaked there on March 6 and bounced there yesterday. Some chart watchers could think old resistance has become new support.

Second, the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) recently had a “golden cross” above the 200-day SMA. Has the longer-term trend turned more positive?

Third, MACD is rising.

Finally, AAPL is in the midst of forming an inside week. If prices manage to remain in this range, it could result in a tight consolidation pattern with continuation potential.
