Canada's $190 billion Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP) says it is avoiding the cryptocurrency space after writing down its HKEX:95 million investment in FTX to zero. The CEO of OTPP said: "We are still studying what happened there. This decision is partly based on the feedback of our members. We believe that it is unwise to make another encryption investment hastily. It is reported that OTPP is one of many supporting FTX. One of the leading fund managers to invest in 2021 and early 2022. The move is widely seen as a sign that high-profile blue-chip investors are approving the rapid developments in the crypto space.
