Increase in will

Everything that happens was always going to happen. Not because some force is steering it, but because one moment causes the next, which causes the next, all the way back to the first spark of whatever this all started from. You didn't choose your thoughts today any more than a rock chooses to roll downhill. The rock follows gravity and slope. You follow chemistry and history. Different inputs, same kind of machine.

We like to think we're pushing against something, making decisions, bending outcomes our way. But the pushing was already accounted for. Your resistance is just another gear turning in the same direction the whole system was already moving.

So when people talk about predicting the future, they're not talking about magic. They're talking about knowing enough. Math gets you the shape of things - how fast, how far, what happens when this hits that. Reason fills in what the numbers can't say outright, the part where you look at a situation and just know how it's going to go because you've seen the pattern before. And luck is only the name we give to the stuff we haven't figured out yet. It feels random because we're standing too close to see the whole thing moving.

Nothing is actually unknown. Some of it's just still uncalculated.
