Market participants who trade or invest in chip companies need to ensure that they're not mistaking cyclical market trends as permanent secular shifts. Remember that you're fundamentally investing in a commodity business, not a consumer staple.
@qais.rasooli, I've shorted it in two chunks -- just above $27 on Aug 27 (also took profit that day because it later fell below $25, which increased my breakeven to 29.29) and also $32 a couple days ago, which increased my breakeven some more. After today it's actually slightly below my breakeven, so I'm up very slightly on the short. Would add more above $36 and higher if it were to get there.
I'm skeptical that these gains are sustainable in the long-run based on its financials. A lot has to go right.
