Ampleforth vs USD

Ampleforth / TetherKuCoin

Description

Ampleforth protocol propagates price-information into supply
protocol achieves this by seeking a price-supply equilibrium
it will always enter a state of unrest until it finds one.
As a result, the system alternates between two modes (expansion of supply or contraction)

@HeyJonBray @KevinHeitkamp for whole assestment you would need supply chart, circulatin supply chart, orace price, real price, and corresponding marketcaps. this price chart just tells you where contraction or expansion of supply starts.
@HeyJonBray That chart sounds interesting whats the URL?
Also where did you find API for AMPL price, since Coinmarketcap is callculating incorrectly. only source I could find is apleforth website (CSV. and later I'm cleaning data since it comes with timestamp that is something I can't read)
HeyJonBray
@i67WR, Right now it's a spreadsheet saved locally, but I'll have it on my website this weekend. If you go to "my tradingview username dot com slash AMPL", I just need to finish writing the UI. If you go there at the time of writing you'll get a 404 error but just check back. I'll be updating that page quite a bit over the next week to include Web3 connect, an instance of the Uniswap ETH/AMPL liquidity pool, tradingview chart, KuCoin trading interface and a few other things. It's pretty much a convenience web app for me to have all my tools in one place, but anyone is free to use it.

I scrape the Ampleforth dashboard for the real-time data using Python's Request library, turn that data into a List, and then I can cherry pick all the data before I export it to whatever format I need, in my case just variables for a web app.

If you're using OpenOffice, you can remove the timestamp when you import data from an external source, you'll just need to edit some of the formatting rules for incoming data (identify data you don't need, and have it place an escape character in front of it).

so what s happen for MPLE?
what do you think
i67WR
@mahsa_91_m, AMPL is getting rebased and will be back to 1$ just with lesser marketcap.
HeyJonBray
@mahsa_91_m, Unfortunately due to it's protocol, no chart based on price will ever be able to give you an accurate assessment of AMPL's value.
KevinHeitkamp
@HeyJonBray, Seem like they need a marketcap chart.
HeyJonBray
@KevinHeitkamp, Yes, AMPL should always be charted on market cap.

Price charts should only be used to determine how your supply is going to change during a rebase or if you're strictly trading it intra-day.

I made a spreadsheet that takes your holdings, net worth, and calculates new holdings after the next rebase. You do have to manually enter the market cap and your holdings. Any AMPL holders interested in the spreadsheet I'll gladly share for free just message me. I'll also be integrating it into my website where the market cap is pulled from an API so you just need to enter how much AMPL you have, and it spits out your balance after rebase.
