ASML — Monopoly Equipment Name Pulling Back Into AI Strength

**ASML — ASML Holding — June 24, 2026**

ASML is the dominant supplier of EUV lithography tools required for the most advanced AI chips. The stock dropped over 7% yesterday amid semis volatility and regulatory headlines, bringing it back from recent all-time highs near $1,930.

**Technical Structure:**
Price pulled back after hitting highs in mid-June. It is currently holding above the $1,700 area, which has acted as support on prior tests this year. Volume spiked on the decline. RSI has moved out of overbought territory on the daily chart.

**Key Levels:**
**Support:** $1,700 — Psychological and prior consolidation zone.
**Resistance:** $1,900–1,950 — Recent highs.
**Invalidation:** Sustained break below $1,650 would open room for a deeper correction toward the 200-day moving average area.

**The Fundamental Context:**
ASML sits at the very top of the AI chip supply chain. Its near-monopoly on the critical equipment gives it pricing power and visibility that most equipment companies lack. Recent weakness appears more sentiment-driven than fundamental.

**Catalyst to Watch:**
Q2 earnings on July 15. Focus will be on order backlog and any updates on High-NA EUV adoption.

**The Risk:**
Geopolitical restrictions (especially China) and the inherently lumpy nature of big-ticket equipment orders can cause sharp moves in either direction.
