BAT pattern scenarios on audusd Short

Australian Dollar/U.S. DollarFXCM

Description

HEY, TRADERS. HERE ERE POSSIBLE BAT PATTERN SCENARIOS ON AUSSIE. IF RED SCENARIO COMES INTO PLAY WE'LL HAVE BEAR HSFSP BAT COMPLETED. THIS TYPE IS A GOOD ONE. THOUGH THERE'RE BETTER TYPES, BUT STILL.
IF BLACK SCENARIO COMES INTO PLAY WELL HAVE BEAR HSFSI BAT COMPLETED. THIS TYPE HAS A BIT HIGHER SUCCESS RATE THEN THE FIRST ONE AND I LIKE IT MORE BECAUSE OF BAMM TRADE OPPORTUNITY INCORPORATED))

Nice looking bat. Can't help but notice the similarities with this large bat on the USDCHF pair Daily chart. Why don't you do one of your Bat types analysis on it and see what you think. Good BAMM trade setting up on it. Of course, it's a buy and hold and hold and hold trade so I know you don't like those.....
EverythingForex
Sorry, man. Wrong pic.

THINK WE HAVE A DOUBLE BOTTOM HERE. CAN'T SEE WELL, BUT IF C-POINT LOW AT LEAST TOUCHES A-POINT CLOSE, THEN IT'S A DOUBLE BOTTOM. iF I'M RIGHT THEN IT IS POSSIBLE BEAR HSFDP OR HSFDI (THE SECOND ONE HAS BAMM). THEY ARE MUCH MORE PROFITABLE THEN HSFSP AND HSFSI TYPES. IF I WERE TRADING USDCHF I WOULD ENTER WITH MY WHOLE POSITION SIZE. (THIS AUSSIE TRADE, HSFSP, HAD ONLY HALF OF MY POSITION).

ALSO CAN'T SEE WELL IF WE HAVE A B-POINT WICK TOUCHING 0.5XA. IF NOT, I WOULD TREAT THIS BAT AS INVALID.
EverythingForex
Just curious, why would you treat it as Invalid? Minimum requirement for a bat pattern B point is 38.2-50%. BTW, no. The B point does not have a wick touching the 50%. And yes, C point wick does extend into the A point close. So yeah, I treat it as a double bottom. Common with bat patterns.

Bat patterns with 0,382-0,499XA B have negative expectance according to my backtesting. I only treat bats with 0,5-0,6179XA B as valid. I know that the founder of Bats, Scott Carney, treats them the way you say. But recent researches of T2university, DCAST CAPITAL and my own say that bats are more profitable if you exclude those with 0,382-0,499XA B. I also don't pay attention to 0,886AB C-point unlike Scott Carney. I think Bat pattern evolves. I won't be surprised if we have other ratios for bets somwhere in future))
EverythingForex
Interesting to note. Will have to keep that in mind and see. Maybe that's why I much prefer trading crabs. I think I trade crabs to bats about 3-1. But there are already "new harmonics" patterns out there with different ratios: Max Bat and A Bat are 2 I know of.

Thanks for the answer, Alex. That's why you're the bat-master! And oh, yeah. Thanks for letting go of the CAPS button! ;-)

the pattern depends on the way you trade it. For example, Scot Carney doesn't trade bats with limit orders as I do. He examines the priceaction inside the PRZ. If there's no needed priceaction at 0,886XA there may be some priceaction at 1,113XA. That's how alternative bat appeared. My style needs a very very specific pattern, it should have very rigid rules. Let's move to Private Messages to continue the discussion))

That Carney bit, I was discussing that with a friend. Limit orders are quite aggressive, but can be good like you approach them.
Nice job Alex.
