Just saying YES to these drugs at 55.26

This one is a semi-safety play in an area currently underrepresented in my portfolio. BMY has a lot going for it right now from a technical standpoint.

1 - currently above its 20, 50 and 200d MA. A huge positive in an uncertain environment.

2- it's been in an uptrend since Halloween. The trend line has been tested and held twice since then and BMY is currently solidly above it.

3 - the proprietary algp I use to ultimately time my trades had a 25-2 record on this stock in 2025 and outperformed buy and hold by almost 50%. This stock pays better than you'd expect a drug company to if you trade it right.

4 - support nearby at the Jan 5 low of 53

5 - if I do get stuck holding this, it's paying me a 4.5% div yield to do so. I like that safety net.

The goal is to be out within a week with a better than market average return. If I have to hold longer, I will happily add to and subtract from my position tactically along the way.

As always - this is intended as "edutainment" and my perspective on what I am or would be doing, not a recommendation for you to buy or sell. Act accordingly and invest at your own risk. DYOR and only make investments that make good financial sense for you in your current situation.
Trade closed: target reached
I came SOOOOO close to closing this one this morning and I did not. Rats. Still a win on a trade I was a day too early on, but I will never ever cry over a win. It more than doubled the long term average daily return of SPY even though it underperformed it over the length of the trade. Closed it at 55.56 for a gain of 0.54% in 6 trading days.
Note
Trade results for my records

Avg gain per lot = +0.54%
Avg holding period per lot = 6 trading days
Avg gain per lot per day held = +.09%
Annualized rate of return = .09% x 252 = +23%
