@badlacie, Yes, anything can "easily" happen in Crypto World. I prefer to work on "likelihoods" and currently, TA indicators are flashing a wobbly ride up to 50k. If you have gone short, your best chance is a Macro event, specifically a severe negative market reaction to the Infrastructure Bill currently before the House/Senate. All the best.
