IMHO, I don't want to dismay any BTC enthusiasts but I see Alt coins outperforming it in 2018. It seems investors are catching on that there are plenty of competitive 2nd and 3rd generation alternatives while BTC remains with 1Mb block limits with higher fees & slower transfers. In such a competitive market BTC needed better marketing and faster development of features over the last few years but politics got in the way unfortunately. Potentially BCH may save the brand if it's not too late or the market will swing towards ALT coins.
