@neyus, I got rekt so damn fking bad in the beginning. Then I started levarage trading and that was it. I lost most of my capital...
That was a few years ago... Now I can swing trade somewhat :P

@Chaython, i never said big people are buying. Actually the alert was a sell alert. And the alert was generated by an algorithm here on Tradingview.

I told my friend to short BTC on Sunday. When it was still 61k.
But neither of us, have a method to short it and some BTC trading companies that are publically traded went up regardless.

@Chaython, i'd watch out "telling people to short", or anything with financial advice if you aren't qualified/licensed. just a reminder if you are a new investor (I don't know you)
This said, the BTC trading companies like MARA and RIOT also are more correlated to the stock market because they provide goods and services. So, perhaps they aren't the best to use as a vehicle to profit from bitcoin price movements. However, I've noticed Bitcoin being more correlated to QQQ lately so this is also notable.
Why can't you short bitcoin?

@BullBearBeckham, I don't think IBKR has anyway to trade BTC, where do you short BTC? You probably can in robinhood? But I live in Canada, I could've traded a recently created BTC ETF, but it's the same thing, it holds stock, and the trading hours on TSX are small, so I wouldn't feel comfortable holding it. As BTC could've easily reversed overnight. Also the majority of the movement was Sunday.

@Chaython, I don't short BTC. As stated in the description "not a "pure" short signal. Just sell signal." so this is "long only".
I'm not sure the best way to short for your situation. Good luck. Remember, being short is more risky by nature due to the fact that your losses could be infinite.
