I am publishing this for friend who wanted to see what happened in prior cycle when the price moved up to the all time high. You can see highlighted in the left chart that the price pulled back 30%
I am not posting any predictions for this chart, I am just pointing out similarities.

UPDATE - BTC today (on the right chart) is continuing to match the previous cycle on the left
It is difficult to see in the left hand chart because of the black line, but at the end of 2016, the price went right up to just under the prior high similar to what BTC did recently getting close to $20,000
