I have been saying the same thing. If you see chaos in traditional markets, you will see it in Crypto. I'm not sure exactly what the correlation will be... it's possible BTCs fall will be padded by people exiting alts and people looking for an alternative currency. Enough to make crypto holders feel comfortable though? I doubt it.
When the Fed's money printers go brrr there's an excess of liquidity in the global markets & that liquidity looks for a place to go. Investors are willing to go to riskier asset classes because they can afford to take on additional risks for higher returns. But when global markets fail investors pull their money from riskier assets 1st & into what they deem are safer bets. Thats why you see the DXY (dollar index) for example go up in times of crisis even tho everyone knows its shite. But thruout bitcoin's history we have lived in 'prosperous' times, ie: bitcoin has always lived along side a bull market in traditional indices. So we dont truly know how she'll react. However were those global markets to crash, crypto no doubt would crash twice as hard. Great buying opportunity if u can time it right, but if your a hodler not so much haha.
I say hedge your bets. Be long where it makes sense & be short where it does too. And then u can just add to whatever positions u see fit or close them just the same. Good luck!
