Someone asked, "What Is Exchange Time?" Answer in the Video... Education

Bitcoin / U.S. dollarBitstamp

Description

Let's all make our charts in harmony together with EXCHANGE TIME rather than my personal time zone.

Comment

i will set all my charts to UTC+1 (Paris)

Comment

After further consideration, I changed my TIME on my charts from UTC+1 (Paris) to UTC (London). In my "CORRECTION..." video, I stated 6:00pm and midnight exchange time. I've determined "exchange" time for Bitstamp was UTC (London) time. Now the time on my ALL my charts is lined up with the time I mentioned in the video. Which is UTC (London). It doesn't matter if I'm covering XAUUSD, EURUSD (OANDA), XMRUSD (POLONIEX), ETHUSD (COINBASE PRO), etc... "ALL" MY CHARTS (no matter the exchange) will be changed to UTC (London).

That's not a good answer. Reason: By setting my chart to "Exchange time" it will always change if I look at a Bitstamp chart, Bitmex chart, Coinbase chart, etc as they are all in different time zones. If your purpose is to say, "We're going to have a move at XX o'clock, you need to state either a) a move in x hours, or b) a move at XX oclock UTC time, etc... something that everyone understands. No one has a clue what you mean by echange time. Oh ok, so in this case you mean between Noon and midnight, Bitstamp time. If I trade on a completely different excahnge in that is in a different timezone, I have to do a bunch of extra work to figure out your point... change indicators etc. It's so much easier to say UTC time, or Central Standard time. I still have no clue what time you mean because I'm not going to go change my indicatiors because I don't want my time to change based on the exchange I'm looking at.

@jb71, i will set all my charts to UTC+1 (Paris)
jb71
@WyckoffMode, cool. That works. So if your purpose is to tell people of upcoming moves at a certain time you'd need to tell people you mean UTC+1. Might be easier just to say UTC time. Everyone understands that... or Paris time or Bama time. I was just making a suggestion b/c I had no clue what Exchange time you were referring to. Personally, I keep my charts on my own time zone. Thanks for the fix.

@jb71, it was a very good suggestion.

another guy that will get humiliated soon

@supremetrejdr,

Not quite sure what you mean by that statement. I can assure you the person who asked that question was not "humiliated." In fact, I know many who were not aware of the "Exchange" time default and they were likely very happy the qustion/request was presented to me. I'm happy it was too. Cause now I have ALL charts no matter what EXCHANGE I'm on collocated to UTC (London) Time.
jb71
@supremetrejdr, I was the one who asked about it and I do not feel humiliated, nor do I think WyckoffMode feels humiliated. I think now we're all in tandem. If this is humiliation, so be it.

@jb71,

No humiliation from or for either of us. I actually appreciate you bringing that too my attention for better coordination.

Stay Awesome!
