The plan changed. The US is no longer in control of Bitcoin. Chinese miners will try to crush the US mining industry in dumping the price in areas that are no more profitable for US miners. In the 5k to 6k area, US miners are no longer able to make any profit - they will capitulate.
At the moment it is not clear what will really happen. We are in a fight of China vs. the US. Both parties have different powers within the cryptospace:
Both parties want to control Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies in the longterm, because cryptocurrencies will be the future.
