I am not saying changing the colour of the candles will definitely make you a better trader. Look, if the time we spent on the chart is x hours per day , multiply by weeks , months and years, that is a lot of X hours combined.

Red to some people has a strong, stimulating effect as if it lures you to do something. Think of most fast food restaurants - what colors do they use ? KFC has red, Mac has red ,etc. So red candles like red colour traffic STOPS you in your track which to me is not helpful. As traders, we must (oops, we can) have a variety of trading opportunities - to long or to short the market.

If traditionally RED colour has stopped you due to conditioning, then it is time to re-condition your brain. Yes, you can unlearn the strategy and relearn a new one. Blue colour signify responsibility, calm and trust as well (think IBM, hospitals, etc). So you need to be responsible for your own trades if you want to sell, stay calm and trust your own judgement.

Orange colour gives me a sense of vibrancy, energy, an upbeat spirit and I love the fruit, orange as well. With this colour combination, it makes my eye more soothing and less irritable (compare to red colour) when things do not move the way I want it to be.

Try it ,a shift in your perspective at the candles colour may be the edge you are looking for.
Best of luck.

First, it was Jamie of JPM making negative comments on bitcoin only to retract what he said weeks later. Now,another prominent banker had something to add on, as if the coin has not suffered enough selling.

Blue is for calm even though market moves in your favour, for now. Always stay alert, never get complacent, not too uptight but optimistically cautious.
