The Perfect Picture of the Manipulated Market

DLavrov Updated
BITSTAMP:BTCUSD   Bitcoin
I should leave this chart as it is, for the history. I don't know how to comment these strange movements.

They just confirm that BTC and the crypto in a whole is the best place for different sorts of manipulators.

For day traders, swing traders it's better to follow any breakouts or market movements which are supported by fundamental news, increasing demand and volume.

In other way, its a game with scammers.

Guys, let me make it clear. I don't complain that the market bounced from one of possible resistance zone. I pay your attention HOW market reached this zone and HOW it dropped after bouncing.

And let's make it clear WHAT IS MARKET MANIPULATION:

Market manipulation is a type of market abuse where there is a deliberate attempt to interfere with the free and fair operation of the market and create artificial, false or misleading appearances with respect to the price of, or market for, a product, security, commodity or currency.

Market manipulation is prohibited in most countries, in particular, it is prohibited in the United States under Section 9(a)(2) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, in the European Union under Article 12 of the Market Abuse Regulation, in Australia under Section 1041A of the Corporations Act 2001, and in Israel under Section 54(a) of the securities act of 1968. Market manipulation is also prohibited for wholesale electricity markets under Section 222 of the Federal Power Act and wholesale natural gas markets under Section 4A of the Natural Gas Act.

The US Securities Exchange Act defines market manipulation as "transactions which create an artificial price or maintain an artificial price for a tradable security".

Guys, huge thank you for all your comments and this AMAZING discussion! I will make a new post explaining better, WHY I think THESE movements and THIS pattern, from my point of view of course, can be called like manipulation. I need to combine all my arguments together in one post. Because now it looks like I reply the same questions again and again.

Please, keep sharing your opinions below this post, I will provide you replies tomorrow!

Hi guys, thanks a lot for all your comments and questions. I will try to reply on them and write in more details explaining my position.

I want to ask you - Do you think that crypto is a manipulated market of not?
Let's don't use this movement, just in a whole - yes or not? Please, share in comments.

Here is a new post WHY I think that the weekend movements were manipulated. Of course we can spend tons of hours for this topic. I tried to write the main ideas
Comment:
Just for thoese who wrote in comments that it's not a manipulation and crypto is not manipulated market. I made a poll with the question: "Do you think that crypto is a manipulated market?"
YES - 90%
NO - 10%

If you are from 90% of people thinking that crypto is manipulated market, please, provide better examples confirming it.
Comment:
Sorry guys, I can't reply on all comments, there are too many of them. Thanks for this discussion and sharing your thoughts. I made a list with the most repeated questions and I will reply in updates one by one.
One more time I ask you to share arguments when you write other opinion.

There were comments like this: "I'm complain because I did not predict the reversal and that the market would drop"

As the market was goign to bounce from a resistance level, I wwrote in the previous posts when I made market reviews. The difference was I expected the price reversal from the 4000.00 level. But the market "reversed" from the higher resistance at 4200.00. If you think this is great mistake, let it be so. I don't are about situations when the markets move in other directions than I expected in posts. I'm not dissapointed! It's impossible to be all the time right and I don't have such target.
Comment:
The next type of comments were about: "this reversal and falling was logical based on TO, it could be predicted"

Sure, based on TA the fact of a reversal from one of resistance levels it's absolutely logical movement. I don't mean reversal when I talk about manipulation.
I pay YOUR attention HOW it was done. I take into consideration 2 movements in the format of the one manipulated trade. Please, read all my arguments here
Comment:
Another type of comments: "I complain because this movement did not allow to make money or closed my trades in loss"

I did not have short term trades and I don't focus on crypto trading now too much. For me this market is interesting only in long run. Nothing more. I don't care when it will move upward. With this correction or without it.
Comment:
There were comments like: "I complain because I predictaed a new uptrend by market moved lower"

Really, I don't care that I can be wrong with the main direction. I watch for the markets and get signals from them and indicators. After that I combine them in trading ideas. I don't have target to be right all the time, because it;s impossible. If you think i'm wrong in this thinking... ok, it means you will need to get more experience and you will understand what is the real trading.

I like comments like this: "all market are manipulated.. and?"

I think you don't clearly understand what is market manipulation. Please, read the new post I shared with you 2 terms for this word. You must know manupilation is not legal. Regulators take care about the markets in order to protect from scammers and their manipulations.

When Central bank make intervation - it's legal manipulation. When a guy want to make fast and simple money just pumping shitcoin - he is a scammer. It's not legal manipulation. If you don't understand the difference - please read one more time the description of this term and use Google search.
Comment:
I still can't understand the group of people who agree with me that crypto is manipulated market, but don't agree that this movement which I picked is a good example. No problem, please share better examples, let's discuss.
Comment:
Guys, why you did not read my arguments from the new post? You could better understand what is market manipulation and why THIS movement is close to this term.

Also, I suggest you to start the comment with YOUR statment - Do you think that crypto market manipulated or not? It will be better for me to understand your position. May be this example is not the best confirmation of manipulations. It's ok, but share the better example.

For all my haters - I love you)
You motivate me to become better doing what I like to do. I will reply only that haters, who provides arguments.
Comment:
And market kept the sideways movement after the strange pattern. Of course it was not the manipulation)))
Comment:

IT'S NOT A MANIPULATION
CRYPTO IS NOT A MANIPULATED MARKET)))
Comment:
I prepare for you 2 movements which look the same but the meaning is different.

IT'S NOT A MANIPULATION! A big player opened long positions with big volume!
Comment:
The 2nd example - this is a manipulated movement!

Comment:
I hope these 2 examples allow you to see the difference betwen logical prices movements and manipulated movements. In 2 posts I provided you solid arguments.
Thanks for your attention and discussion!
