This is a brief thought but the current chart looks similar to the charts we saw in June 2016. This means we may rest around the 8.5k to 9k region before we see a breakout.
To play it safe, you can open a long position once bitcoin breaks the end of red line in the Ichimoku cloud.
A risker trade would be to buy along the green line of the cloud.
If bitcoin breaks and closes below the green line of the cloud, exit this trade.
