Feb 28th: Do you have a Plan B?

Bitcoin / DollarBitfinex

Description

Feb 28th is the settlement date for CME Futures.

Most people are taking for granted that we're going to bounce after the inverted H&S, but what if we don't bounce? Do you have a Plan B?

I'm comparing against 2014 because the graphs have been pretty similar.

Plan B is giving a stop lost limit order before going to bed :))
Aldonio
@ErsozSozer, stop-limit orders are not guaranteed to execute and stop-market orders may execute at a lower price than you would expect, you should not rely blindly on stop orders during a crowded trade.
Joker1970
@Aldonio, if you put a reasonable gap between the stop price and limit price and use one of the top 3 volume exchanges than the chance is %99.9 ; i didnt experience any problem up to now...

I dont really understand the cme contracts. Cant the bet be long or does the cme always create contracts that predict decline.
Aldonio
The contract is just a tool to lock the current price (ex. 6k USD at Feb 5, or 10k USD today) until the settlement date. The losers will always look for ways to minimize their loses such as dropping the price to trigger a panic sell.
Supertraderboy
@Aldonio, Thanks. What is the next contract going to lock at? Where is that number published because that is key to what those guys are doing. If the contract is 10000 now they are trying to make it 10000. So it acts like an additional super resistance.

@Aldonio, Now i understand . This should be illegal. Thank you very much. I believe the days of btc kicking ass are over. Shes been chained down along with the rest of crypto currencies through btc. In the middle of every contract there should be a tiny window of almost free market time. I wish i understood in janurary.
Supertraderboy
@Supertraderboy, The contracts chain btc and everything follows btc.
Aldonio
@Supertraderboy, not really, a future contract is a really useful tool, for example, if you're going to sell a house in the Bay Area and you want to accept bitcoins, you reduce your risk if you sign a future contract with the buyer.
