It's strange that you don't get any search results when typing in "QUANDL" or "BCHAIN" on TradingView. You really have to type in the exact phrase like "Quandl:BCHAIN/MIREV" to see the charts.

Yes you have to insert Quandl: and the data is retrieved from Quandl web site. You can also apply premium Quandl data on TradingView.
