When drawing trend lines, you can't mix candlestick bodies with wicks. That's just not how it's done. This chart shows the true (short term) declining trend line (Orange is using only wicks, and Red is using only bodies). A close above this line signals the end of the short term downtrend. The mid-term downtrend won't be broken until new ATH's are made, and even then it won't be confirmed without other stipulations
