Hey what's up guys, part 2 showed you why the hunt exists. This is part 3 of 9. It is the candle you are allowed to mark as the range.
The mistake is marking every large candle, or hunting a three-candle sticker. A CLS range is one specific candle. The flow from parts 1 and 2 left a footprint. You do not need a volume indicator to see it. After you have looked at enough charts, the print is obvious. Until then, use the five conditions. If one fails, it is not the range.
🕯️ Five Conditions
All five. Not three out of five.
1️⃣ It is larger than the candles around it. The range of this candle is bigger than the average ATR of its neighbors. A normal push is not it.
2️⃣ The timing belongs to the week. Often that is a Monday or Friday range. The candle itself can print on any timeframe. The weekly clock is part 6. Here you only reject a candle whose timing makes no sense inside the week you are trading.
3️⃣ It runs into liquidity, or it is the manipulation. A big candle in the middle of nowhere fails this one. Part 1 still applies.
4️⃣ It manipulates its own high or its own low. The candle has to take a side of itself. A clean drive that never takes its own extreme is just momentum.
5️⃣ It sits in the right context. Bias, location, and session already agree. A beautiful candle against the higher-timeframe story is still the wrong candle.
👁️ What It Looks Like
Large body. Small wicks. A close with no hesitation. Structure breaks in one print, not in a slow stair. It leaves a gap behind it, a fair value gap. Inside that candle, price almost does not pause.
If you have to argue with the candle, it is not the one.
🧭 Two Ranges, Two Jobs
Bias range. Daily or weekly. It sets direction and the next draw on liquidity. Price manipulates one side and closes back inside. You hold that bias until the opposite extreme of the range is reached, or the dealing-range target is reached. This is a multi-day story. It is not a scalp.
Context range. Usually H4. It frames one trade inside a bias you already have. The candle prints in the right location, on a key level, in London or New York. After that range is manipulated, you drop to the lower timeframe. The entry model is part 8. Today you only need the separation: the daily candle tells you the story, the H4 candle frames the trade inside it.
You do not pick the candle first. Bias, dealing range, key level, and session come first. Then you mark the candle that qualifies. Parts 4 and 6 fill in location and time. The order does not flip.
How many candles print around it does not matter. Two, three, four. A classic three-candle pattern is not a condition. Stop counting candles and start checking the five.
‼️ When the Range Is Not Real Yet
A sweep of some random high or low is invalid until the CLS candle has closed and the range is actually established.
A touch of a key level is not a range.
An order block on a low timeframe, with no range above it, is not a range.
On the timeframe where the range is defined, read the boundary like this.
A wick through the boundary is manipulation. The range is still alive.
A close through the boundary, on that same timeframe, kills it. Treat what you see as a new range. Do not keep trading the old one.
Bearish range: no close above it. Bullish range: no close below it.
📍 THE BOTTOM LINE
Mark one candle. Larger than its neighbors, timed to the week, run into liquidity, a manipulation of its own extreme, and sitting in context. Small wicks, a hard close, a gap left behind.
A wick past the line is the hunt. A close past the line is a different range.

Part 4 is where on that range you are allowed to trade. Premium, discount, and the key level. A valid candle in the wrong half is still a pass.
❌ None of this guarantees profits. Nothing in trading does. A marked candle only stops you from trading a sticker.
Adapt useful, Reject useless and add what is specifically yours.
