2018 is over. 2019 started. Let's have a memory for the fallen ones. Here is a list of mostly professionals that made wild claims that would make a drunken gambler blush. No idea how they ended up in finance.
These dumb calls, do not expect them to stop, even thought I think they will slow down. If the bottom is when they stop doing this, then boy oh boy the bottom is far away.
Most of them try to minimize their call, they do not talk about it, if possible they delete, they will try to hide that. This deserves no respect. That alone is enough to disqualify them in my eyes. Not even worth my time considering as opponents or allies. Same goes for the people that start saying like the majority "oh yes there is no doubt the money world will run on blockchain in the next decades" I got a communiqué from a boss women in a bank where I worked a while ago. These people do not take any risks: if nothing happens, they just won't ever mention it and no one will know. If their random ignorant coinflip call ends up being right, you are going to hear about them. Alot. They get 0 respect from me. Same goes for most of the crypto early adopters that had no idea what they were doing and got lucky. You don't see much of those that held shitcoins back in 2014, but you hear about he genius of those that held the right shitcoins and not on MtGox at the right time, not because they got lucky, "because they knew".

If life is a running competition, they are the fat kid at the back that walks slowly and sits every 5 minutes, and let's kids 3 years younger bully him and throw crap at him because he is too lazy to do anything about it, and finds tons of excuses.
Today or the next day I will make an idea about new years "resolutions" as this is the usual thing to do. It is at least a way to force people to look back on their mistakes and plan for the future - those that do not do this all year long; so I don't mind. Plus it happens at a convenient time for me.

@hubavka, I don't make eoy predictions. This is how smart I am.
All I know is 2019 will not end a bear market and going past 20000 is very unlikely, less likely than 3 digits.
Only ("precise") predictions are make are the short term like 1500 to 2000 in a few months. Also, I predicted 6000 and 3000 while they were calling for new highs.

@MrRenev, That is what history shows, I will go with that until proven otherwise. You are guessing that the behaviour will change after 10 years without having any concrete things to back it up.
And to be clear I do agree that we are going into low 2000s before going up.

@hubavka, BTC can't sustain any rally without 95-98% correction from ATH. BTC will hit sub 500. Now you will have some "alts season" propping BTC probably to 5000-5700 before next bull trap at 1.2k
