@HuynhLoc, @snoepws it is my understanding that trade active = the trend predictions are confirmed and the pattern is valid and will continue along the drawed lines
@snoepws, @HuynhLoc, @snoepws, @xlogic - It means that author still views his current position and chart as valid. So, the trade could be listed as "SHORT" and "trade active" means the author still holds the short position.
There is also "trade close" and "trade canceled" statuses.

@Adamkm is a also right but too specific because an author can close because his view has of the market or security has been invalidated by new information he observed and decided his previous view is no longer valid. I.e. changed his or her mind.

@snoepws, Active simply means the author has not marked it as a close. I.e. it has not fallen short of stop loss and has not surpassed targets/not deviated from the chart. There is no auto function to close this off for deviation. If BTC was $10,000 now it would still show active until the author closes it.
