jamikr
@josephtse, thanks
For posting! is there one you like best from theses far?
josephtse
@jamikr, They are all doing unique things and finding unique solutions. The biggest theme I see here is giving the ability for small private companies to list that can't afford the backing of PE firms or can't afford the fees of an IPO, and aren't marketable enough to sell themselves to Google or something. So, why not create a platfrom you can trade small private firms and ICOs like we are seeing? Genious right? I think they are all gonna be great and all serve their specific purpose. But soon enough, we will see all brokerages migrate to this model, where all small mom and pop shops and ICOs will be traded at Etrade or what have you. I am excited about Polymath and Qurrex once they list. They are marrying the stock world to the ICO world. A vision for the future!!!
ChalifStorch
@josephtse, bitshares does this already.
josephtse
@ChalifStorch, Bitshares has not created their own exchange. Bitshares is NOT an exchange. It's a token which allows you to trade asset derivatives of any type ON current and upcoming exchanges. Exchanges still need to be licensed, regulated, compliant. Creating CFDs on all existing assets-stocks, bonds, commodities will require approval from some form of regulatory body. You can't just create IOUs or derivatives of any stock or asset out there. Why do you think bitcoin etfs got shot down by the SEC in the USA? There is a compliance approval process to go through first. Otherwise people would create any type of contract on anything and spread bet it. Why do you think Poker sites and horsebetting websites are illegal in the USA? I can create a crypto etf with 100x leverage and inverse one too that bets that all cryptos go to 0. You think that will just pass that easily anywhere in the world? Whey aren't people already doing it then?
ChalifStorch
@josephtse, look for yourself, this is their decentralized exchange running on graphene blockchain, or what do you think this is?

@ChalifStorch, Ok, well, I don't see token derivatives of stock shares on there, of gold, bonds, futures, etc. First, exchanges have to create "security" tokens. That's what Polymath will do, and Qurrex will integrate stock brokerage infrastructure into existing crypto exchanges, and lots of regulation will come with doing that.
ChalifStorch
@josephtse, the security token is bitshares. and everything else there are secured derivatives. I dont care if anyone will do something that has long been done and works proven instead of hypothetic.

would not buy bithares before correction finished though, might well dip now 4,xx$ or even lower imho, looks like H&S to me :)
