What is this indicator you are using? Also curious about what you think will happen in a bad earnings scenario.

@djasonunchained, I'm not using a built in indicator. I've written my own algo that shows me stocks that are breaking out or formed a pocket pivot. As for what may happen in a bad earnings scenario, your guess is as good as mine. I've seen some stocks still go up even though there earnings report was bad for the quarter. The market will do what it thinks is right.

@TORNADOF5, CVE is not something I would trade because the general long term trend of the stock is down. Another reason for not trading it is because there would be to much resistance in the way up. I like stocks that have a general up trend and have little to no resistance on the way up.
@TORNADOF5, BRY has bad earnings and is also too far away from it's all-time-highs. I wouldn't trade it. Same for IPOD, the long term trend is down. I wouldn't trade that one either. Since I wouldn't trade them I have no opinions on them either. :)
