CRM bear call spread

NYSE:CRM   SALESFORCE COM INC
CRM             had a nice bullish retest gap on earnings. Volume is declining and it's below the 100/200 SMA on the daily. This bear call one could get .25 (or 10% ROi             nicely) My plan is if CRM             retests or moves down into 62.50 it could bounce and then I'll consider either an OTM call, ITM             call or BPS             ...

I won't even worry about this spread unless CRM             closes above $75

For those trading the shares the pink line is what I think the waves will do.

Good trade idea! I sold the same spread on March 2 at .29 as part of an Iron Condor with April 62.5/60 Puts. Both spreads are outside expected move range from current price.

Would you be so kind to make a video explaining the uptick rule with real life examples? As a new trader this is something I am having a hard time understanding. Like if a stock was down over 10% the prior day I was under the impression that you couldn't short for 2 trading days? Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I can just answer that now. : ) An uptick simply means you can't short the stock unless it moves UP in a positive way. The word "tick" literally refers to about 1 second. If you are looking to take a trade bearish, you wouldn't be able to short a break out but if it ticks up, trades higher or is moving bullish, you can then short it. Does that help?

So CRC for example that was down over 10% yesterday, I'm looking at the 1 min chart (when you say seconds are you looking at level 2 for that? if so that's still something I have to learn about) but 1 min chart for example on CRC so the 2nd tick was green I could short then? but then the 3rd min tick was red I couldn't short then? Pretty much I could short on any green tick, or does the green tick have to break the prior red ticks high? Sorry for so many questions there's so much to learn about trading.

Nope. I wasn't referring to the level 2 data. Maybe this chart will help. : )
