Killer call! I bought some risky short-term puts that are up 100%. Still in the trade; if I manage to get out alive, I'll see about a Comment With Cheer -- never did one of those before

@NewYork888, So few of my option plays are winners that I had to thank you. (You can see why: I gamble on short-term and way out of the money.) I'll cash out for my original stake + 20% tomorrow and maybe let the rest ride until Friday. Your work is remarkable!

@NewYork888, Yeah, but I need to own it to sell covered puts. I'm bold, but selling naked options is too scary
Reply
@ichman, selling a naked put is a long call ot a short and zero difference from owning the stock anyone that tells you othwise doesnt know what they are talking about but dont do anything youre not comfortable with

@NewYork888, The line that I always heard was that it was a leveraged investment with unlimited downside (except in the case of a naked put, since the stock can only go to zero). This made sense to me, but if you have a different take on the matter or can refer me to some reading material, I am all ears. Sorry for the delayed reply…

@ichman, BTW, Pigs Get Slaughtered. I barely escaped with singed tail feathers. Your Comment with Cheer will have to wait until next time. Actually, I wasn’t a pig for once – I got busy with other things and failed to check in on what the market was doing.
