How to Create Alerts and Get Alert Notifications Education

Dow Jones Industrial Average IndexDJ

Description

Alerts can save you time and instantly inform you about what's happening in the markets. Get alerts sent to your phone, desktop, email, or through a web hook. Create them for your favorite stocks on your Watchlist or for trading ideas you're interested in. In this quick video, we show you how to create alerts and how they can help.

Step 1 - Find and click the Alert button at the top of your chart.
Step 2 - Set the conditions and parameters for your alert.
Step 3 - Pick how you want your alert delivered whether through email, push notification, and more.
Step 4 - Customize the text for your alert. Write out the message you want it to say when the alert is triggered.

You can create Alerts for price movements, indicators, and more. Alerts can be used to save time, harness automation, and connect your desktop and mobile trading processes.

Hi,
This video is of course helpful but I would like setting an alert for a whole watchlist, e.g. if there is a Buy signal (triggered by any indicator) for any of the included stocks. Or even events for a Screener table. It would be a huge work if I had to set alerts fo each stock separately. Is this possible? And how?

@BBergerac, Exactly! This question is very applicable from a time and efficiency standpoint, but it appears to not have been answered.

@TradingView please advise as inquiring traders would like to know. Thanks!

@BBergerac, I have the same question @TradingView. I'm a happy happy customer, but I'm wanting to subscribe to the Premium Package, but the only thing holding me back is this. Thanks in advance for the response @TradingView!

Great video. I have been adding special placeholders to my alerts to return values from an indicator (e.g. {{plot_0}}) but some of these values can be large decimals. Is it possible to round these values to display the whole number? thanks

Thanks for the review, this has worked well for me both on price level and various indicator levels and crosses and on pattern completion (that might happen but it is real nice to know when they do! Keep up the great work!
