Is that Dollar surprise still coming?

TVC:DXY   U.S. Dollar Index
A dollar surprise can still hit. There is a last line of defence for the Dollar.

Price has come into a structure area, either a double-bottom or triple bottom, and the 3D ATR line is just below price.

Some say that the US Dollar is bound to crash. That's not necessarily true. Read up on 'Dollar Smile Theory'.

Don’t predict. Find a trend and follow it.

No surprise here

Some have asked me if I'm 'bullish' or 'bearish' on the DXY. Unfortunately for those sorts of traders, the issue does not arise for me as one among 20% of trend-following traders. Furthermore, I was cautious to say in the video that I'm not trading the index - and that it's movement north or south was important in related markets.

The pull-back of price on the 4H was totally expected. Those experienced with the DXY will know how wild it is.

A word of caution. There are limits to any sort of technical analysis. Not because a set up looks good or seems logical, means that it's going to happen.

As mentioned in the video, for the 3-day time frame I estimated 55% for reversal - leaving a 45% probability that it won't. If there is a reversal, I can't estimate how far it will travel north. Trend-followers do not work on a 'predictions basis'. They work on a 'following' basis.

Note my brutal disclaimers.
