$EOF:ASX - ECOFIBRE - New ASX listing Long

ECOFIBRE LIMITEDASX

Description

Ecofibre is a provider of hemp products in the United States and Australia.

The whole vegetarian / Beyond Meat / sustainable / natural products space has quite a bit of mainstream momentum at the moment and companies like Ecofibre will look to benefit from this interest as well as potentially get added to the various "eco-friendly / responsible investing" ETFs and funds that seem to be popping up. It's their early forays into hemp-based textiles and materials that interests me more so than their food lines. Be interesting to follow them for a bit. Might be worth a watch.

In the United States, the Company produces nutraceutical products for human and pet consumption, as well as topical creams and salves. In Australia, the Company grows and produces hemp food products including protein powders, de-hulled hemp seed and hemp oil.

The Company is also developing innovative hemp-based products in textiles and composite materials in partnership with Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) in the United States. The Company owns or controls key parts of the value chain in each business, from breeding, growing and production to sales and marketing.

Ecofibre Limited (EOF) is focused on selectively owning or controlling specific parts of the hemp value chain, in targeted geographies. EOF sells hemp-based products to consumers, wholesalers and manufacturers and owns diverse collections of genetics with over 300 land races of cannabis from over 25 countries.

They are however about to release results so be careful with your timing and see how the market reacts. The Company will release its Appendix 4C Quarterly Report on 11 July, and the full year results on 29 July.

Bottom might be in. Starting to show some signs of a recovery.

The last part says 300 land races. When it means acres? That's from their website. But they mean 300 genetic varieties.

Also their plant will come online in a year and it was said that they will produce textiles for carpet.

I've also seen designs for purses on their social media and they hinted at shoes. But they might only produce the textiles for them, with 3rd parties making the final product.

You forgot to mention their two CBD businesses - Ananda hemp and Ananda Professional. They've been rapidly growing their pharmacy penetration.

@dogg0138, yeah - I just cut and pasted that description of their site and was also confused by 300 land races. I did read it was 300 varieties later but I cant edit posts on here so couldnt change it. I think that they are indeed an interesting company with a bright future if they can do some deals.

@Angusmck, Hey there again. Saw that you posted an update in January. I re-entered at 3.3 and then added at around 2.5, stupidly calling bottoms instead of patiently waiting like I know I should. FOMO...

This stock got battered needlessly. But that doesn't matter because it should recover soon with everything that's happening. It's got a really bright future. New plant will be fully commissioned in a few months.

I couldn't be more adamant about this. Visit the hotcopper EOF forums, and have a look at the posts by 'randomguy01' (that'll be me). I read patents, trademarks, etc, and I trawl the net and social media for info/connections. I have 3 patent threads there, just updated yesterday, and a thread called 'the spyglass', which contains nuggets of information.

It doesn't really matter whether you buy this at 3 or 2 dollars. It's a loss of profits, yes. But in a few years, you won't be caring about a dollar difference.
