I'm scared of this one now, when btc went bonkers it took half my money. I'm too novice so i didnt hold I got scared, everyone saying btc is going up whihc i though would keep sinking this one down. Now i feel sick , if i just held everything would of been alright. Fuck why dont they teach you important shit like this in school.
@Grokz, a proven strategy is setting tight stop losses immediately after the buy, this is the only way to avoid huge losses while the market is so volatile

@MaximBar, Market volatility is a good reason for no stops. Holding long term is a much better strategy if you believe in crypto. bigger gains, less stress.. win win

@max69, If I had done that I would be up bigtime right now lol. I do beleive though , I have been fucked over by a longterm purchase before on a crappy platform.
I bought etherium and bitcoin at the start of last year at like 900 and 165 or somthing , next time i looked at my account all my money was gone. The trade was automatically closed (expiry date). This was before I knew anything about trading and just wanted to put money as a long term investment.
Ahhh I'm feeling good anyway, live and learn.

@Grokz, I guess this happened to everyone. Learn from it. It's only a loss, if you sell. Just hold. Always. Unless it's a bad unknown coin you invested in, it will grow at one point again.

@Seviii, Yeah I guess I'm nowhere near he first person this happened too. Going to use the stop loss more from now on. Back to square 1 :)
