If you compare this chart with my older charts, you'll see that ETC is moving along the expected trendlines. I think this will also happen in the next two weeks. Perhaps there will be a delay due to the upcoming changes at BTC. Anyway, I see that the ETC emancipated itself from the ETH and that is good. I see two possible current trendlines.
Let's see what happen. Happy trading. :-)

As many altcoins, ETCUSD also follows the BTCUSD trend. I am long, long-term, ETCUSD because seems to have had a successful hard fork.
But, if BTCUSD looses a large portion of its current price due to the hard fork, what do you think will be the effect on ETC?
Would you say a stop-loss at 11.9 USD be a good out point?

@edwincarstrading, I speculate on an emancipation of the altcoins away from btc. We / i have tested several coins also smart contracts. and btc is for me oldschool and has at the moment no real future. Perhaps as a substitute for gold. not more. For the daily work is btc not really usable, imo. And this will not really change after the fork. If the market understands this, the top10 altcoins go strong upwards. I see currently as the possible winner in the long run: etc for smart contracts, dash, monero, ripple. Also eth is for me not really safe. but here i am not sure. eth could go also up. 11.9 usd would be okay for me, because it will stay only for very short term. than up. let's see ...
