Ethereum Long term technical analysis Long

Ethereum / U. S. DollarKraken

Description

Hi all,

First time I publish an idea. I'm in Ethereum since march 2015, when I bought Ethereum at 0.80 €/Ether. I've bought more at 10$, 15$, 20$ and 50$.
I'm in this for the long run, say 10 to 15 years, so this is my long term view;

Short term I see resistance at 650$, which is where I draw the upper line of the log channel. Short term downside risk is around 200$.
200$ to 250$ is my preferred buy zone, where I will be looking to add further positions, as soon as I see a return of strength to the upside, in case of a short term down trend (max 6 months).

Be aware, If Ethereum breaks through the upper channel, it could rally a lot higher short term (next 6 to 8 months). Long term the upper channel is around 9000$, which could be seen as soon as mid 2018.

Don't look at crypto's as just another financial instrument to trade. This is a paradigm shift. All value will eventually move towards blockchain or similar technology like DAG. When the mainstream populace gets that crypto is a one way long term trend, we will see big moves as the one I'm pointing out here in Ethereum. Be prepared. Meanwhile, focus on the risks, and buy in low risk zones. Good luck!

Doesn't a near or above trillion dollar market cap exceed expectation by a bit?
Ethoshi
@Shaaarrrp, In case Ethereum would reach 9000$, would that be a dramatic rise in Ethereum's value, or would it be a dramatic crash in fiat US$?

I'm bracing for a bumpier ride up.
How them treeshares coming along, man?
Ethoshi
@PJ.honore, In a meeting right now with partners to rebrand Treeshare and to find a good legal structure.
I'm not claiming the ride will be without volatility. But as a trader, it's good to have clear long-term goals, and not to be distracted by the minor bumps in the road.
It's this mindset that got me this far in crypto trading in the first place.

@dries.hoornaert, interesting. I do wonder if a real world 'product' like trees can reliably be considered a crypto investment. How would the shares reflect the actual forest? What I mean to say that it seems counterintuitive to use crypto for a non-tech asset. Congrats on getting into Eth that soon. Ghent represent!

Nice and interesting positive view! we really need it! Thanks! But don't you think it's a too optimistic view 9000 in mid 2018 (or you mean 2028?), and also : don't you think it's a very optimistic view also 645 in july 18th? Thanks for sharing your study!
Ethoshi
@GianlucaSanna, Optimism and pessimism are two sides of the same coin. I like to focus on reality, as it is, without projections, either pessimistic or optimistic. These are simply the mathematical boundaries I observe in Ethereum price action.
