Classic Bubble?

Ether / United States DollarCoinbase

Description

I wasn't convinced about the crypto bubble till recently. I went and looked at the last few summers and there's always a bubble when students get out and then it fades as school becomes more serious. Fits some of the crowd I think.

Anyway. I looked up the stages of a bubble and felt these looked pretty accurate.

What do you think?

Doesn't look parabolic enough to me In the timeframe shown. Just a solid correction maybe.

Don't you think the Public timeframe would be the largest?
You don't reach the public and saturate the market in 4 days tho... In my opinion we are at a very early stage on the market development. Wait, see and cry when prices reach 1,000

@veilkrand, on what timeline tho? There's still a lot of problems to solve before the network is totally usable. Keep in mind ETH is not a store of value. It's meant to be used to power dapps on the platform. If there are issues with sharding and the platform cannot scale fast enough then what demand cause the price to reach 1,000? Also, smart contract bugs remain an issue and the first we've seen is the DAO. I doubt it'll be the last. I think this is a correction but we're still in a highly speculative territory. I'm bullish on eth but it took a couple years for btc to recover from the gox crash.

@blackstar_trade, cryptocurrency trading is 100% speculation

@veilkrand, I noticed a regular summer pump, this year is just a lot more severe. I think you're right it's not on the right time scale for 'classic' but I think it's a small zit on the larger developing crypto market.
