COINBASE:ETHUSD can easily go above $1000. Even though $1000 is a barrier ether has no where else to go but up. Maybe small retracement to $920 and then to $1100 - $1200 range. Etherum is a strong coin and alot of people seem to think year 2018 is going to be the year of alts so that also helps it.
Since ETH has tested the extension level @ 997 without showing any signs of a slow down, we are looking counting to about @1270. RSI shows the market is overbought so we can expect a correction wave @923 before another rally.
