Hi Alex, i think 123.3 might be a better / valid choice for X. by choosing 123.3 as X, we could see that XA and BC legs are quite balance and the pattern just looks beautiful. timing wise also looks balance. XA 8 days, BC 10 days. is the "2 swings violation" that you mentioned really that strict based on your experience?
Alexander_Nikitin
@pipstrading, it is really strict. actually it is what turns a strategy from negative to positive:)

My 2 cents : Volatility should spark up as three central banks come up with their monetary policy next week

Most importantly USA is not happy about the widening trade deficit with Japan. They pointed out repeatedly that japan should cut its import taxes , with a weaker yen in the long run they wont be able to stay competitive in their home economy if they have to allow outsiders compete in their market

Let their be any buzz of protectionism, jpy would be banging hard most of its counterparts

Is this pattern still available?

What short? It is going up. And it will hit your stop before it goes down.
Alexander_Nikitin
@Tucson2016, This one may hit stoploss as well as takeprofit. But the historical performace of thousands of similar setups shows that there's a higher probability to hit takeprofit than stoploss. I never know which trade turns into a loser and which one turns into a winner. That's why I am to trade ALL the setups. So, I have my historical perfomance as my argument for sell. And what is your argument? Why do you think it will go to the upside? Did you test thousands of similar setups?
