Also, why do some traders use only the histogram reading and not the combination lines?
Flow99
great video!--whats the importance of the signal line yet not crossing the base line, so in other words, you have a crossover to the upside ( with both lines) but still beneath the baseline.

in other words the MACD LINE crosses signal line but has not crossed positively over the baseline? does the histogram print bars to the upside above baseline but the signal line+macd line have not crossed the base line.help me understand better I don’t think you can take this as an entry signal yet or can you?
tradeconfident
@Flow99, Great question. If the MACD and the signal line are coming up from the bottom below the baseline this is also considered a momentum shift from a downtrend to a possible uptrend. Look for price to potentially reverse to the upside. Hope this helps!

Very good. Would love to see the upocoming MACD video that focuses on divergence.
Thank you, once again.

@BelowZero, Really appreciate your kind words. I will add a divergence video to the list :)

Thanks for the videos, I started trading this year and messing around with a little money and they've been very helpful in getting up to speed. When looking at the MACD orther indicators, how do you decide what range to look at (1m, 5m, 1hr, 1d, etc.)?
tradeconfident
@Sakiehl, I'm so happy the videos are helping :) I can do a video in the future about what time frames I look at but I enjoy looking at the time frames with the most confirmed structures or patterns. I'll try to go over this in another video to make things more clear.
