let us just cross our fingers, cause market can go crazy.
please i dont mean to upset the norm of short=sell and long=buy. just what i see used frequently by some traders who have been in the market for a longer years of experience.
for example. if you were to trade and have profit on a short term pull back and probably after, or with accordance to the market reaction you could be asked to go long term.
otherwise it does not mean buy rather extend your profit target. or short term meaning shorten your profit target.
long = buy
short = sell
long term = extend profit target
short term = reduce profit target
when the direction of the trade is already given; long = extension of profit target
short= reduction of profit target.
hope this solves it and is clear in case you see others use it, you wouldnt get confused.
thanks for stopping by
