TradingView Tip - How I mark up my charts Education

ELIXINOL WELLNESS LIMITEDASX

Description

Quick overview on how I use some of the Trading View tools to mark up charts so I can see what I was thinking at the time and why I traded (or didn't) them.

Makes it easy when you are flicking through your watch list to see if they meet your criteria to enter or exit a trade.

Also good way to keep kind of a training / trading diary so you can see whether you got things right or wrong.

@zAngus I keep bumping into your vids and they are coming in super handy mate! Great content, keep them coming. I've just made myself the drawing toolbar which is so handy and now saving templates as well.

Do you use a trading journal/diary or just mark everything on the chart as you go? Also, can you recommend a free google doc/excel spreadsheet to keep a track of open and closed trades?
Thanks Legend.

@advanz1, I just track my trades inside my broker, but I keep a watchlist here for the ones that are open and below it the ones I have been stopped out on so I can look for new entries.

instead of setting up all those lines and bubbles , try setting a long sell , gives you a stop , risk reward etc and everything is written

Thanks Angus. Great tips for us novice traders! What platform will let me put in a "rising buy"?
zAngus
@Tricky999, thanks Tricky for the feedback. It depends where you live and what stocks you like to trade. In Australia if trading the ASX I really like Commsec.

@Angusmck thanks for the video. As I'm new to tradingview it's great to see how others use the features/tools. I'm also tracking EXL but I'm the Elliott wave approach.

@kitdoctor, Hey Kit, Thanks for the feedback. Yeah when I started using Trading View a year ago I felt like I kinda had to learn the hard way as there weren't may videos about of how people actually used it. I just clicked on literally EVERYTHING to see how it all worked.

It is amazing how there are SO many different trading strategies. I don't know how to use Elliot - so make a video one day so I can watch :)
