First, I am a Ram guy. I know multiple people who have bought F-150s and to a person they hate any model since about 2008. Ok, that being out of the way....
No fancy chart here, I'm long F from $11.90, which was a bad entry because it almost stopped out, but luckily reversed at 11.50 and is looking good now. This is not my usual play with a clear target, this is more of a momentum trade with a trailing stop.
I think if it breaks $12.50 we fly. I missed the real entry sub 10 dollars, but whatever, clear defined stop and if we go up it could be a lot.
Normally I would not post such a low value chart, but I am logging trades here too under the absurd assumption I can get a trading job one day and this will help instead of hurt.

I have a 2020 RAM 3500 diesel but I think Ford makes a better (and more complex) diesel truck. The F-150 sells like no other truck and far outpaces RAM 1500s, so there is that, in the gas truck market. I don't own a Ford but I like what they are doing. I have been thinking about buying some Ford this week. Maybe some VW too. Good thoughts.

@ColoRider, I did not look at the VW ticker when I saw this setup or I probably would have longed it also. It is actually outperforming Ford since I got in this trade.
I do not know about diesel, but most of the guys I know with trucks have gone Ram in the last 6 years, converting from Ford or GMC (I do like the GMC trucks, not as much as the Ram)

@Ribsauce, all good, brother. I appreciate your work here. RAM has come a long way. I have many buddies who have bought them. Some still love the Ford. I just bought the Ram diesel since it is the only one that fits in my garage. :)

@ColoRider, I got the 1500 with the full crew cab and longer bed, not the full 8 foot but longer than the standard bed, I think it is 6'4, anyway it does not fit in my garage.
I wanted to get a smaller one but I got an unreal deal on this one from a guy I know who bought a diesel and had to dump it fast.

@Ribsauce, that’s awesome. Mine is a full crew and the 6’4” shorter bed. It fits in the garage with 2-3 inches to spare. It is stress every time I park. I still do it.

@ColoRider, Good call on VW, wish I listened. This trade is doing very well, 10% in 15 days, but VW is smoking it. Kicking myself for not looking when I entered this, because the chart looked just as good. Would have been in at 23, and it is 29 now. Tremendous gains in 15 days.

@Ribsauce, Thanks! I'm starting to see VW as a solid longer-term investment now. I still like Ford and GM, also as longer-term investments. I don't know how to trade very well, since I do not understand options well. I need to learn.

@eobrien1108, No way, my buddy had an F-150 and his exact quote was "This truck is a piece of crap, every time I run over a pinecone it costs me 500 bucks"
Pre 2012ish Ram was trash and Ford/Chevy were better, but 2014 onwards the Ram lays the smackdown on these other brands.
