The key point is not to chase the first expansion candle.
Instead, price first forms a strong first wave, then pulls back to reset the structure.
Only after reclaiming strength does the setup become actionable again.
What makes this structure cleaner:
• the pullback is controlled rather than a full trend failure
• reclaim confirms buyers are stepping back in
• invalidation remains clearly defined below the pullback zone
• trade management becomes more structured once price progresses
In this example, the workflow can be read in 5 steps:
1. First Wave establishes momentum
2. Pullback resets the structure
3. Reclaim Entry restores continuation potential
4. Zone 1 can be used for partial profit-taking / risk reduction
5. Zone 2 can be used for runner management
The main lesson here is not “price went up.”
The main lesson is that a cleaner setup usually comes from waiting for structure, defining invalidation clearly, and managing the trade in stages instead of guessing.
