GBPUSD - GU could have a altitude flight Long

British Pound/U.S. DollarFXCM

Description

Price broke out of the big downtrend (white fork), took a couple dance-steps on it (yellow ovals) and gained strength.

Look what the pink bar did.
It broke the prior small resistance with gusto (Indication!).

Then it flung up and down a couple times, and defended the grounds (green) to break the U-MLH (blue fork).

The close outside the blue downsloping fork and the higher highs (exponential dashed blue line) is enough for me to take a first load and go long.

P!

@IvanLabrie, brave man :)
Bo
Here now you are LONG,
but how does this match with previous idea to SHORT

The short never reached objective, is it still on?
Thank You.

@Bo, Hi Bo

This is a older chart from the 240min.
Watch the chart below.

Price dropped, could not reach the centerline, so it produced a Hagopian which means, that price go further in the other direction then from where it came originally.
Click the play button to see what I mean. Therefore, the trade was closed and I was going in hunt mode to catch a long entry, which I did.

I also want to be clear:
a) my postings are to show my technique, not to trade
b) I have plenty of loser too. Also my analysis is often not playing out as I thought (...browse thru my charts and you will see winners and loser. It's all there, the good, the bad and the ugly too hehe...)
c) I often take a trade directional long, but with Options short or vice versa.

Happy Day Bo and thank you comments, likes and also for your open eyes.

Bo
@Forker, Most appreciate the instant reply, Sir Forker! Thank you for explaning example of Hagopian. Reviewing your past trade suggestions is a superb education. But I do not want to believe that you could ever be wrong (*_^). And Good Day to you, too, Monsieur!
