The value reached 2.11602 in November 2005. The target is defining a lesser value.
Not sure I understand your definition of monetary collapsing.

ok it was not a proper world, but i meant a potential big weakening period for dollar and now i don't see this in fundamentals, beacuase dxy is in a strong uptrend and what you predict is not a pullback. this would be a big trend reversal

An increase in GBPUSD not necessarily mean a weakening dollar. It could also mean that the British pound is gaining strength faster than the US dollar. And if the BOE increase the interest rate - as they are planning to early next year - it can happen very easily.
