GBT Adding Cognitive Features Within Its Expert Agent
On Thursday, the Company announced that it is now adding the first elements of cognitive features within its AI expert agent.
The agent now includes feedback features, i.e. “thumbs up” and “thumbs down”, that work with the artificial neural network mechanism to learn and improve answers’ accuracy and their relationship to the topic. The user feedback is fed into the Avant! RNN (Recurrent Neural Network), which synthesizes data from various information sources, weighing and comparing the feedback to the answer context to provide the best, most accurate answers.
The system includes self-learning technology or “data mining” that is structured in a very similar to the way the human brain works. Over time, the Avant! cognitive system will refine relevant answers, define answers’ relationships and patterns, and provide higher accuracy. The system is adaptive and digests dynamic data in real time, making adjustments as the data and environment change. The system is based on understanding an answer's context and incorporating the user feedback as a part of the chain of interactions.
The Avant! intelligent agent is already available to the public and is used as an expert agent for GBT’s web site, providing information about GBT Technologies. The agent's new version is now officially released on: avant-ai.net.

GBT and BitSpeed Announce Joint Venture GBT BitSpeed Corp.
BitSpeed’s Software, Network and Storage Expertise is planned for integration with and enhancement of GBT’s wireless mesh network and IoT GopherInsight™ Platform

On Tuesday, the Company announced that it has entered into a Joint Venture (“JV”) Agreement with BitSpeed LLC (“BitSpeed”), a software development company located in the Los Angeles area. The new JV will be called GBT BitSpeed Corp.

BitSpeed (http://www.bitspeed.com) specializes in the development, sale and maintenance of software which allows the accelerated and secure transfer of large file data over existing private or public networks. BitSpeed is currently partnered with a major Cloud Platform ( GCP ) and has an agreement to supply its software through GCP’s Partner Advantage program, where their customers can buy certified solutions directly from GCP .

Latest Gartner Report Paints Bright Future For IoT:

Gartner forecasts that the enterprise and automotive Internet of Things ( IoT ) market will grow to 5.8 billion endpoints in 2020, a 21% increase from 2019.

By the end of 2019, 4.8 billion endpoints are expected to be in use, up 21.5% from 2018.

Utilities will be the highest user of IoT endpoints, totalling 1.17 billion endpoints in 2019, and increasing 17% in 2020 to reach 1.37 billion endpoints.

“Electricity smart metering, both residential and commercial will boost the adoption of IoT among utilities,” says Gartner senior research director Peter Middleton.

“Physical security, where building intruder detection and indoor surveillance use cases will drive volume , will be the second-largest user of IoT endpoints in 2020.”

Building automation, driven by connected lighting devices, will be the segment with the largest growth rate in 2020 (42%), followed by automotive and healthcare, which are forecast to grow 31% and 29% in 2020, respectively (see Table 1).

In healthcare, chronic condition monitoring will drive the most IoT endpoints, while in automotive, cars with embedded IoT connectivity will be supplemented by a range of add-on devices to accomplish specific tasks, such as fleet management.

GBT Technologies' employment of internet-of-things ( IoT ) technology predates the development of the company's AI core, according to CTO Danny Rittman. In fact, it was the company's development of IoT technologies that led to a growing need to create an artificial intelligence core.

"We went further into the data science … figured out that we needed to be more on the secure side, we need to handle vast amounts of data, especially as we went into autonomous machines domain etc…" he said. "So, we realized we would need a mechanism that involved AI. For the past year and-a-half, GBT developed a core AI that is based on machine learning."

"IoT will become more and more permanent in our daily domain, and of course GBT is progressing forward with this trend because our technology is natively IoT ," he said. "It started as a radio technology, and since IoT is basically radio-activated … we were naturally embedded in this domain a few years ago."

A report from Zion Market Research echoes GBT's leveraging of AI in IoT in its finding that globally, the AI in IoT market is projected to grow to $19.9 billion USD by 2025. This represents a compound annual growth rate ( CAGR ) of 25.89 percent from 2018-2025.

Recently, the company has announced R&D in analog computing, which Rittman points out will complement and enhance GBT's tech:

AI, for both mobile and fixed solutions, announced that it started R&D activities for IC (Integrated Circuit) Micro-Solar cell structures, targeted to empower its 3D, multi-planner microchip.

As announced before, GBT has filed for an innovative 3D, multi-planner microchip patent in the US (serial number 16292388), and internationally (PCT/50266). GBT’s invention relates to the field of integrated circuits (IC), and more specifically to 3D, multi-dimensional, multi-planar microchips. This patent is a derivative of the GopherInsight™ platform, which is a new, fully integrated circuit technology platform being developed by GBT.

As currently designed, the Company's miniaturized radio technology consumes less power than typical wireless communication devices. GBT is now exploring an on-chip energy storage and harvesting system which it is believed will enable power to be derived from the environment.
